“How can i improve my mathematics”
The most common question I usually come across during the curriculum with my students.
And mostly I say, “ DEVELOP AN AUTOPILOT MODE IN BRAIN”
Sounds interesting right?
Let me give you an example to elaborate myself…
Suppose you are driving a vehicle and a kid ran into the road suddenly and almost in front of your vehicle…
Before even you think, a rush travel from your brain to your limbs to apply brakes in fraction of seconds…
“THIS IS CALLED AN AUTO-PILOT MODE”
How did you develop this skill?
The best answer to the question is that it’s a by-product of the practice that you did unknowingly on daily basis while enjoying your day.
So, the question is how can we develop the same auto-pilot mode in our MATHEMATICS where you can solve any problem with little effort…
4 pointers you are going to enjoy , these are :-
- There is no shame to go back to basics.
- Attempt wrong but ‘ATTEMPT’
- Follow a simple table of 2
- Reward yourself after every successful week.
THERE IS NO SHAME TO GO BACK TO BASICS
You all must be knowing a teacher around you who can solve a complex calculation with no or minimal effort. Sometimes just while talking to you they solve it without looking at what they are writing.
This is the power of basics…. Teachers teach the basics all the time due to which these basics are in the AUTO-PILOT AREA of their brains.
Go… Work with your younger siblings with their maths problems and after some days or weeks you will start to develop an auto-pilot place in the calculative area of your brain.
There is no shame to solve a class 5 problem when you are actually in class 10….
ATTEMPT WRONG BUT “ATTEMPT”!!
Did you hear it somewhere?
“jab tak giroge nahi tab tak chalna kaise seekhoge?”
Actually failing at something forces our brains to find some other alternatives…
Why not use this potential of our brain to our advantage?
Attempt 10 questions today and don’t worry if 8 out of them are wrong…
Your brain is so smart that it will suggest you some other ideas to solve it..
BUT!!!
It totally depends whether you are ready to attempt it “wrong?
If you are saying “yes”, you are ready. Then mark my words. Continue to do it for a few weeks and then you will realize that there are no frequent ‘WRONGS’ in yout attempt..
To achive this…. JUST ATTEMPT!!!!
Just remember I said Attempt Wrong not Attempt by UNFAIR means..
FOLLOW A SIMPLE TABLE OF 2
Today your are going to solve maths problems.
Tomorrow : 4 questions
Day-after-tomorrow: 6 questions
And so on….
Do this for 3 weeks. I thing that sounds fair?
Let’s calculate something interesting…
On 21st day you will be solving 42 questions. Right? Its not a very big deal..
So what’s the big deal is?
Just add all the questions you have attempted in last 21 days..
Its an arithematic progression problem(class 10), but to put it in simple calculation, we will do this:
2+4+6+8+10+12+14+16+18+20+22+24+26+28+30+32+34+36+38+40+42
= 462
Did you feel it? I felt its… its 462 questions in just 21 days.
This means that you have experienced 462 questions.
Now imagine the 21st day when you just finished your questions.
Trust me… You will not ask the same question again “how can I improve my mathematics?”
Isn’t it great?
Go ahead… Just do it… No matter you miss 2 or 3 days in between.. Itna chalta hai 😉
REWARD YOURSELF AFTER EVERY SUCCESSFUL WEEK
You love games. Right?
But you need to understand. Its not the games you love, it’s the rewards you get after playing it… Am I right?
Why not play this game of attempting questions and allot suitable rewards to them..
Ask your parents to help you in this. I am sure they will be more than happy to do it for you..
Aakhir paise to parents hi denge na 😉
Now the question arises…
Will we develop an AUTO-PILOT mode in our brains after doing all this?
Well I am not going to justify it this question with an answer..
But I would love to give you a hint.. Kya kisi se ye puchoge ki kal raat hogi ya nahi? Hehe 😉
I hope it will help you.
Thanks for reading..
All the best
